Year 3 have been making good use of the new outdoor classroom and enjoying the Autumn sunshine. They have been looking at different textures in the environment and drawing what they have seen, as well as doing observational drawings of the school buildings. Also, using natural objects such as conkers, twigs, acorns and leaves, they have created calculations for addition and subtraction that result in the same total. Finally, they have attached two twigs together with wool to make 'worry dolls' - so that whenever they have a worry they can write it on a label, attach it to the worry doll so that they don't have to hold onto that worry but can share it with a trusted adult.
