September 2019

I am very pleased to welcome you to our website and hope that it will give you a flavour of what we, at St. Michael's C. E. Primary School, are about. My name is Julie Paisley and I have the privilege of holding the position of Headteacher here at St. Michael's.

One of the things I am most proud of at St. Michael's is our children. They are happy and keen to learn, they are inquisitive and show a real zest for life, they show compassion and care for each other, they celebrate each other's achievements and make St. Michael's the special place it is.

As a church school we are exceptionally proud of our close relationship with St. Michael's C. E. Church and the local community. We are distinctly Christian in our character and ethos. Indeed, we place great emphasis on our Christian-based school values of RESPECT, KINDNESS, CHALLENGE, PERSEVERANCE and FORGIVENESS. These values are celebrated throughout the school and the children understand them and try to put them into action at all opportunities.

Our excellent and extremely experienced staff are very proud to work at St. Michael's and place the children at the very centre of all they do. We strive to provide a broad and balanced curriculum which is complemented by a wide range of extra-curricular activities including sport, music, our Christian-based Mission Club and inter-school events. Specialist teaching in areas such as science, German, music and P.E. means that our pupils benefit from a high level of expertise and is a real strength of our school.

Please do look further at our website which is regularly updated and provides a huge amount of information. However, if you do not find what you are looking for we would love to welcome you to visit us and see for yourself what we do! To arrange a visit or for further information, please contact

or call 01228 711544.Our administrators, Mrs McDonald and Mrs Cook will usually answer the phone and help with general enquiries, or you can ask to speak to me directly.
