Science - Investigations

This term has been packed full of science investigations. We investigated soluble and insoluble materials, which materials were magnetic, thermal insulation by investigating which cup kept the water hottest for longer and investigated water resistance using different plasticine shapes. We also investigated air resistance  and friction using jelly cubes and oil.

The children had great fun making paper aeroplanes and tested which were the most streamlined. We investigated friction using jelly cubes and oil.

  

PSHE - 

In PSHE, we worked as a team to get ourselves across the hall without falling in the water (touching the floor)!

We've also been making our own culture wheels and compared them with other people in the class that we don’t normally play with, we learned lots about each other!

Art - Space Art

This autumn term we've been making printing plates, using different materials to create textures, styles and drawing our vision of the future for our space art. Our finished printing plates will then be used to print backgrounds for our space art. 

  

Design & Technology - Bread making

We've been learning all about the different types of bread, including tasting lots of different types of bread. We then followed a recipe for making our own basic bread, designing it using our own ideas.

Our next task was to go home and choose our own extra ingredients to then bring into school to make our very own signature bread.

Thank you to all the parents that came into to school to give everyone a helping hand. It was very much appreciated.
