School Dinners
Our onsite school kitchen enables the school to provide cooked meals to all those children who want them. All infant children are entitled to a 'universal free school meal' and the take up for this has been very good. Meals for the juniors (KS2) are currently charged at £2.75 a day, £13.75 a week.
From 4 November 2024 we moved to an in-house catering provision, supported by Relish. Parents will be able to go online to order their children's meals by clicking here. Payment for children in KS2 can be made with cash to the school office, or online via your Arbor Parent Portal. Login details and instructions are given when children start school.
Contact the school office if you have mislaid your login details. The key points to remember are that you must always have sufficient funds in your account to enable you to order meals and you must pre-order so that the chosen meals are available.
Please note - If your child's meal account balance is more than £50 in arrears, your child will only be able to have a sandwich or bowl of soup. Alternatively parents can provide a packed lunch. Cooked hot meals will not be available to order until your child's account is brought back into good standing.
If you have ordered meals in advance and your child is sick, please cancel the meal for the day/s that your child is absent. If your child has not ordered a meal, they may do so in class at registration.

Free School Meals
From September 2014 all primary school pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are eligible to receive a free school meal.
However, if you believe you meet the criteria to apply for free school meals we strongly encourage parents to apply as this may qualify your child for Pupil Premium. This is extra funding for the school to help your child.
From September 2026 the Department for Education (DfE) introduced new eligibility rules for free school meals. You may be entitled to receive free school meals if you are in receipt of any of the following:
- Income Support
- Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance (JSA)
- Income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
- Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
- Guaranteed element of Pension Credit
- Child Tax Credit (if you are not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and your annual gross income is no more than £16,190)
- Working Tax Credit run-on (paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit)
- Universal Credit (if your household income is less than £7,400 a year after tax, not including any benefits you get)

Milk
Reception children receive free school milk up to their 5th birthday. Once that birthday has passed children may continue to receive milk, but there will be a small fee to pay (unless you are entitled to Free School Meals). Please contact the office for further information.
