Background Information
Who are we?
We are a group of parents, carers, grandparents, relatives and friends who work together to raise funds to support school activities. Every parent of a child at our school is automatically a member, it's up to you to decide how involved you wish to be!
A little bit of history
The HSA was set up in September 2018 in response to news of recent Government cutbacks which were contributing to deficits in school budgets. As the budget at St. Michael's was getting tighter we decided to help raise funds for extra-curricular activities and facilities which are often the first thing to be affected. Events are organised with fun in mind and it is very important to us that we include the children and the wider community in our endeavours.
Keeping in touch
We share a noticeboard (on the wall as you walk into the infant playground) and produce regular newsletters

Our Success Stories!
So far, our funds have bought:
* a digital Datalogger for Year 6 to use in maths, ICT and science lessons
* a green screen
* over 100 new books, covered and banded, for the school library
* transport for the Christmas plays
These have been raised through lots of fun events - a fashion show, a Christmas Fair, a 'Sport-a-thon' and discos. We have also received generous donations from local businesses.
Would you like to be involved?
Hopefully, the answer is yes! If so, attend our meetings, volunteer at one of our events or become a committee member. The easiest way is to have a chat with someone who is already involved, so you could email one of the officers above and arrange a friendly chat. It doesn't matter how much time you have to spare, we ask for as little or as much as you can give - so join us and make a host of new friends.
